Description

Title: Laboratory Technician - English proficiency is required. Bilingual is a plus, but not mandatory. Ongoing project year over year; no tenure. (Standard pay rate for all shift schedules) Pay $25.00 – $26.00/hour based on experience Bill $35.50 - $36.92/hour based on experience Training Schedule: The Lab tech training must be conducted in the morning from 7am - 3:30 pm Monday thru Thursday and usually takes about 8 weeks - then worker will typically work 3-11pm shift from 0 hours a week up to 40 hours a week. The associates fill out a form listing the days and hours they can work and the client will schedule as needed. The client cannot guarantee the days and number of hours they might work. Many of the workers have more then 1 job and they are able to fit Teva into their working schedules. Shift Schedule: (Candidates must have open availability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift as scheduled. Shift schedules are given to workers a week in advance.) Monday – Sunday: 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday – Sunday: 3:00pm to 11:00pm Monday – Sunday: 11:00pm to 6:00am Temp to perm: Yes based on performance and openings Core essential skill sets to be considered for the role: 1. A high school diploma or G.E.D is required. 2. One year experience working in a clinical environment. 2. At least one of the following experiences are required: a) Laboratory technician b) Equivalent or medical assistant training Screening Requirements: 1. Basic Background Check 2. Drug 11 Panel with Fentanyl 3. Medical Screenings: A) Vision Screen - Near, Far, Color, Depth and Peripheral B) Whisper Test C) Lifting Assessment (50Lbs) Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive processing during screening, admission, study conduct, and discharge procedures. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience • One to two (1-2) years of experience in a clinical environment • One (1) year of experience as a laboratory technician or equivalent or medical assistant training • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure BLS preferred -Can be obtained during first weeks of employment Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Experience with laboratory processing equipment and ability to aliquot biological specimens preferred Job Description • Able to obtain vital signs and perform ECGs • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Able to follow written directions, work independently, and handle competing priorities within tight deadlines • Able to function independently within a team environment • Excellent organizational and time management skills and a strong attention to detail • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting materials and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: • Predominantly laboratory and clinical environment • Non-supervisory, non-managerial Essential Functions: • Performs laboratory testing procedures and processes in strict compliance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines, and other state and local regulations as applicable • Ensures the integrity, well-being, and safety of study participants • Provides administrative and operational support as a member of the site team
