Description
A tester, often referred to as a software tester or QA tester, is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through systematic testing and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities

Test Planning: Develop and execute Test plans, Test cases, and Test scripts based on software requirements and design specifications.

Bug Identification: Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed feedback to developers for resolution.

Testing Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing, to ensure software meets specified requirements.

Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand software functionality and customer requirements.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, issues found, and recommendations for improvements to enhance software quality.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends to improve testing processes and efficiency.
Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is advantageous, with familiarity in both manual and automated testing techniques.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Familiarity with testing tools and programming languages can be beneficial.
