Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Test Analyst to join our QA team. The Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications. This role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify issues and improve product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects.
Document and report bugs, errors, and issues using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, TestNG) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in API testing and database validation.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
Experience working in Agile environments.
