Forklift Driver

Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials. This position requires a high degree of attention to safety, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move materials and products around the warehouse, storage yard, or production facility.

• Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all items are securely and safely handled.

• Stack and organize products in designated areas, adhering to all safety and storage guidelines.

• Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials moved.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift driver.

• Valid forklift certification.

• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Capability to bend, stoop, and climb.

• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
