Description
Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter/Designer Location: Raynham MA / Bridgewater MA Job Description: A skilled AutoCAD Drafter/Designer for the update and maintenance of building drawings for a large mixed-use manufacturing facility (588,000 sq ft) and a warehouse (100,000 sq ft). The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring all architectural, electrical, plumbing, equipment, and P&ID drawings are accurate and up-to-date as per the latest project requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Update site master drawings based on project drawings to reflect the latest modifications and developments. • Revise and maintain architectural layouts, electrical schematics, plumbing designs, equipment placements, and P&ID diagrams. • Update safety-related documentation, including egress paths, shelter locations, and placement of fire extinguishers. • Collaborate with the local facilities team to verify machine drawings, ensuring all updates are accurately reflected and cross-referenced with existing databases. • Conduct regular site visits to gather information and validate drawings, working on-site 4-5 days a week. • Operate within designated safety zones, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes. Some work on the roof may be required. • Maintain a self-directed workflow, managing tasks effectively to meet project deadlines. Qualifications: • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software. • Strong understanding of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings. • Experience with P&ID documentation and safety drawing standards. • Ability to interpret and integrate project specifications into site master drawings. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. • Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work independently and self-manage tasks. • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus. Working Conditions: • On-site work in a manufacturing environment. • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes.
